Hi there. Nice to meet you!
Here are some answers to common questions I receive from couples
I’ve been filming weddings over the past 5 years, and have been doing corporate & commercial video production in some capacity for over 12. Alongside wedding filmmaking, I currently run the digital media & production department for a busy marketing agency serving clients across Canada. Check me out on LinkedIn!
I only book 10 or so commissions a year, so my dates are limited. I found this to be a perfect number for my style of wedding films, and allows me provide the best possible price, end product and experience for couples I work with.
I take immense pride in offering couples the top of the line cinematography, lighting and audio equipment. My gear bag is ever changing to keep up with the latest technology to ensure the highest quality video for couples. My kit includes several Panasonic LUMIX GH6, Panasonic LUMIX GH5, GH4, Olympus PRO lenses, Canon lenses, Aputure 300X, Tascam DR-10 Lav Microphones, Zoom H4N Recorder, Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL-2 and memory cards and cables to my eye balls!
My style is moody, stylistic, cinematic and non-intrusive. I encourage couples to organically follow the love and emotion of their wedding day, ignore the cameras, enjoy each moment and have fun! My final films typically follow the natural progression of the day with ceremony vows and speeches mixed in, if applicable or possible.
I invest heavily into a robust music library. This music is royalty free and allows both myself and the couple to avoid any issues with copyright laws. Using commercial music legally can cost upwards of $10,000 USD. Creatively, I don’t recommend selecting music before your wedding is filmed or edited, as it is difficult to match the style and mood of your day with pre-selected music. I work with couples closely to ensure what is selected in their film matches their wedding perfectly.
Both. It depends on a few factors, like the size of your wedding, your package selection, second shooter availability and more. I do my best to always at least have a second person with me throughout the day, but sometimes that’s not possible. But this never changes the amount of footage captured on your big day or your final film. In fact, the majority of films you see in my portfolio are shot solo!
I can travel to any location you need. An extra travel rate my apply.
Yes, I require a 40% non refundable initial payment & signed agreement to hold your wedding date with myself and team. The booking process is a very straight-forward, easy process!
Absolutely! I believe successful wedding days are rooted in collaboration. My relationships with others is top priority outside of filming your wedding. In the pre-production stage, I personally reach out to each vendor to ensure a smooth and collaborative wedding day. Vendors are one of my top referral streams. If your wedding is within the Canadian Rockies, myself and team has certainly worked with at least one of your wedding professionals.
